Too many bad eggs destroying Nollywood – Actress Shan George

Actress Shan George has lamented that too many bad eggs are destroying professionalism in the Nollywood industry in Nigeria.

She said the bad eggs are not well educated and trained enough for the job to know the rules and tenets of the profession.

George, in an interview with The Punch, said the bad eggs are responsible for the unprofessionalism in the industry.

According to her, the sad part was that such display of unprofessionalism is currently increasing by the day in all industries.

The actress added that as a graduate of Mass Communication, who majored in broadcasting, her training was more on television, screen writing, presenting, and dissemination of news.

is very much about what my current job in Nollywood entails,” she said.

George said her journey into Nollywood began in 1996, when she attended an audition for a movie role in Maryland, Lagos.

She stated that it was not even planned as she just accompanied her sister there, adding that she was also auditioned to play a part in the movie titled, ‘Thorns of Rose’, and produced by Emeka Osai.

The actress explained that at that point, she was already acting a role in the nationwide NTA soap opera, ‘Winds of Destiny’, directed by Sadiq Daba, saying that the journey has been great so far.
