This coming days after Seyi Vibez was called out on social media by Nigerians in Toronto, Canada for cancelling a show without prior notice.
However, reacting to the development on Sunday, Seyi Vibez took to his social media page to update his bio with “Independent” and deleted all posts.
The development signalled the start of his independent music journey.
Dapper, on the other hand, still has Vibez’s profile on its website, indicating a potentially one-sided split.
A source from Dapper revealed to our correspondent that they are waiting for Seyi Vibez to return to the country in order to resolve the matter.
“We are waiting for his arrival in Nigeria though, maybe dapper can now use his family or close friends to appeal to him.
But he really messed up things for dapper management by canceling all shows in Canada,” the source said.
Seyi Vibez and Dapper Music have enjoyed remarkable success since their partnership in 2022.
The singer, who rose to fame for his breakthrough single ‘Chance (Na Ham)’ from his second studio album ‘Billion Dollar Baby,’ also announced the establishment of his own record label Vibez Inc. in 2023.
Same year, the Ikorodu-born singer welcomed a newly signed artiste TML Vibez to the ecord label.
