My body enhancement surgeries were worth it” – Mercy Eke

Reality TV star Mercy Eke, widely known for her time on Big Brother Naija, has shared her journey with body enhancement surgeries, stating that the procedures were worth the pain and effort.

In a recent episode of the Love Is A Game podcast, Eke revealed that she underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), liposuction, and lip augmentation in 2018, largely influenced by trends and peer pressure.
She admitted that her initial motivation was not rooted in dissatisfaction with her body but rather in keeping up with the social trends at the time.

“To be honest, at first, I followed the trend by undergoing body enhancement surgery,” Eke said.
“I did my body enhancement surgery in 2018. It was just the trend and peer pressure that made me do it. Because I actually had a very good body shape. I was slim with curves in the right places as an African woman. But maybe, my stomach was a little bit too much then.”

The reality star shared her fears and challenges leading up to and following the surgery, describing the experience as painful and emotionally taxing.
“I was scared when I wanted to undergo the surgery. I didn’t tell my mum. I went with two of my friends. It was painful. You won’t sleep with your butt for fourteen days. You have to be lying on your stomach. That’s the painful part. After the surgery, you will cry for three days. But it is worth it.”

Despite the physical and emotional toll, Eke expressed no regrets, stating that the results met her expectations.

She also addressed rumours regarding facial surgery, clarifying that she has not undergone any procedures to alter her facial features, emphasizing her natural beauty.
