What I miss about Nigeria – Nollywood actress says

Nigerian actress Doris Simeon has revealed that she misses the taste of Nigerian street foods since she relocated to the United States in 2018.

Simon, known for her roles in Nollywood movies, expressed her nostalgia for dishes like roasted yam, roasted corn, ewa agoyin, potatoes, and more.

“The things I miss most are the food they sell on the streets… I miss my family and friends. I miss being on movie sets. Sometimes when I see some behind-the-scenes clips, especially how they eat together, I miss it all,” Simeon shared.
In addition to missing the street food, Simeon also revealed that she has faced personal challenges in America. She lamented the loss of a sibling and expressed regret at not being able to meet her sibling’s last child, who will be turning five years old in July.

In a recent interview with actor Kunle Afod, Doris opened up about her hiatus and journey to America, inferring that the decision to leave Nigeria six years ago was personal.

She said: “Many people know that my child and his father are in America, and that’s one of the reasons I relocated to America.”
