R&B Singer Angie Stone Di£s in Car Crash at 63

Grammy-nominated R&B singer and hip-hop performer Angie Stone has d!£d in a car crash in Alabama, her record label confirmed yesterday, March 1. She was 63.

According to reports, the crash occurred on Interstate 65 in Montgomery County after Stone performed at the Mobile Area Mardi Gras Association Grand Marshal’s Ball.

Angie was known for her hit singles “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” and “U-Haul,” and was nominated for three Grammy awards throughout her career.

Her record label, SRG/ILS Group, released a statement saying:

“Everybody at SRG/ILS is devastated after hearing the news about Angie Stone’s passing. We had the honor of releasing her most recent album. She was always a pleasure to work with and a true light to everyone she touched. Angie was a Hip Hop and R&B legend. Her presence and artistry will truly be missed. We send our condolences to her family, friends and fans as we remember the legacy of Angie Stone.”
