In January 2022, Mercy unveiled Kazeem as her husband much to the surprise of many.
Shortly after the unveiling, the actress was in the public eye after Funsho Adeoti, Kazeem’s first wife, accused her of snatching her husband.
Kazeem, however, defended his decision to marry a second wife.
He said Islam permits polygamy as long as the husband can take care of his wives and does not maltreat them.

In 2023, Aigbe converted from Christianity to Islam following her marriage. The actress said she reconsidered her religious beliefs because of her love for Adeoti.

“I hope her ex-husband does a paternity test. Things are happening. Every day, we see stories that reinforce the need to do DNA as a father. The street is military.”
Other social media users also called for a paternity test to be carried out to ascertain the fatherhood of the 11-year-old son.
Confirming the paternity, Gentry took to his Instagram page, saying, “What is life? I thank everyone for your comments and advice about my lovely son, Olajuwon Gentry.
“My son is my son 100%. I love him so much. There is nothing in this world that can separate me from my children.”
Aigbe had set the internet agog when she unveiled popular movie marketer, Adeoti, as her new lover.
She also took to her Instagram page on Monday to shower praises on her new lover on his birthday.
The ace actress separated from her estranged husband in 2017 after she alleged that she suffered domestic violence in her marriage.
Since their separation, the duo had frequently engaged in social media clashes since then.
