Combs was arrested on Monday, September 16, 2024, and charged with sex trafficking, kidnapping, and racketeering.
Prosecutors allege that the music mogul had been operating a criminal enterprise since at least 2008, using drugs and violence to coerce women into fulfilling his sexual desires.
In his court appearance, Diddy’s legal team proposed a $50 million bail, offering his $48 million Star Island mansion as collateral and additional assets to cover the remaining sum.
However, the court denied the offer, citing him as a flight risk.
Additionally, a request for house arrest with restrictions barring female visitors was rejected by the judge.
The case’s severity means that, if convicted, Combs could face 15 years to life imprisonment.
His arrest comes months after federal authorities raided two of his properties in Los Angeles and Miami in March 2024, uncovering 1,000 bottles of lubricant and three AR-15 firearms as part of ongoing investigations.
