Fans and well wishers across the country joined the world on Thursday to celebrate veteran Nigerian actor and film executive, Olu Jacobs, on his 82nd birthday.
Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, was born on July 11, 1942. To commemorate his birthday, his wife Joke Silva took to her Instagram page on Thursday to share a video capturing the veteran’s youthful days.
The award-winning actress also prayed that “aging will not be difficult” for her husband.
“82 just like that. Aging will not be difficult in Jesus name. Happy birthday and have an amazing year ahead me darling. Sir J of life @_olujacobs loving his customized house coat,” she wrote.
Joke Silva’s post comes a few days after she dismissed rumours that Olu Jacobs passed away.
This is the second time rumours about the death of the ace actor will be making rounds on social media.
Speculations about the actor’s death have been circulating since 2021 — after his wife first disclosed his ailing health.
Silva revealed Jacobs is battling dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), which is caused by clumps of protein forming inside the brain cells.
Nigerians have also joined Silva in celebrating her husband with prayers and wishes across social media platforms.
