Following the announcement made in a video by Actor Kanayo O. Kanayo of his intention to disrupt any film production involving Unigwe, cautioning producers against casting the teen actress.

The mother of the Actress Ms Kings who also doubles as her manager has released a statement dismissing Kanayo’s allegations as baseless lies. The manager confirmed that legal action had been initiated against Kanayo to seek justice.

The statement reads;

“We want to reiterate our steadfast support and stance against unjust treatment and bullying,” the statement read. “Angel’s health, safety, and professional integrity are our top priorities, and we will not tolerate any attempts to intimidate or defame her. Angel’s filming hours have consistently been twelve (12) hours per day, in accordance with the producers’ schedule.”

They assured their supporters that legal steps had been taken to address the defamation and threats against Unigwe, pledging to pursue accountability and justice. They also called on security agencies and organizations to ensure their safety within the film industry, citing concerns over aggression and vandalism.

Ms. Kings described Kanayo’s actions as cyberbullying, expressing how they had caused emotional distress to herself and Angel. She highlighted broader issues of gender-based oppression and expressed disappointment in encountering such behavior in an industry meant to uphold mutual respect and professionalism.

“There have never been any prior issues between Angel, myself, and Mr. Kanayo,” Ms. Kings clarified, expressing disappointment at Kanayo’s defamatory remarks despite their previous respect for him. She reiterated Angel’s commitment to honoring contractual obligations and maintaining professional standards.
