The Association of Yoruba African Men Entertainment Kings, widely known as AFRIMEK, has issued a public statement addressing the controversy surrounding Femi Adebayo.
In the statement released by their Public Relations Officer, Adeniyi Johnson, the association has come forward to defend Femi Adebayo, their esteemed Mayor.
They emphasized Adebayo’s integrity, class, and honor, reflecting his commitment to upholding positive values and etiquette expected of individuals.
AFRIMEK clarified that Adebayo was merely invited to announce the winner for Best Dressed at the event and was not involved in the selection process.
AFRIMEK also pointed out that Adebayo, due to his religious beliefs, particularly during the holy month, would never have participated in such activities.
