Former Big Brother Naija reality show winner Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna has said that ladies don’t have to save money to pay for a wig.
She criticized the practice, suggesting that instead of saving for a wig, women should opt for fashion items they can readily afford.
Phyna made these remarks during an episode of her podcast “Spill with Phyna,” where she hosted social media influencer Ashmusy as a guest.

She also encouraged women to embrace styling their natural hair if they haven’t reached the stage of being able to afford their desired wig.
She stated: “Why will you be paying for a wig ten times, I feel you should get to a particular stage in life before you do some certain things, rock your natural hair if that’s the case…the idea of girls doing “Ajo” to buy a wig, I don’t find it…”
Last year, a hair vendor, DBeauty Mogul called out Phyna, for allegedly refusing to return a “rented” wig after the expiration of the rental period.
Mogul alleged that Phyna rented the wig for a movie premier on Sunday, December 10, 2023, and was supposed to have returned it the next day but haven’t done so.
