I, Emilia Emeka-Nwamadi was at Transcorp Hilton abuja on July 19, 2017 for the official
unveiling of Project Tour Nigeria at a Glance. I spoke with the Founder/Project
Initiator of the project, Omoefe Tawiyah and he gave insight in to the
project;

I work for a company called Platinum X Arts and Media
Limited. It is an event Management and consulting company. Our expertise is in
audio visual production and events. We just embarked on a project called the
project tour Nigeria at a glance. This Project Tour Nigeria at a glance is
aimed at projecting Nigerian People, Places, Culture, Tourism, Entertainment
and much more.

What actually motivated you to go into this project?
I figured that Nigeria is perceived wrongly and I took it
upon myself as a duty, as a patriotic citizen in spirit to actually carry along
my peers, my contemporaries to see that we showcase the good part of Nigeria.
Over a decade, we parade terrorism, we know that that aspect of Boko Haram has
actually tarnished our country’s image, a lot of times when people want to
come to Nigeria they are scared. We were at one point in time identified as a
Terrorist Country and we have to correct these things we have to tell our
stories ourselves. We are not supposed to allow people tell our stories. If
we watch other foreign news organizations they keep telling our stories so it
is time we take it upon ourselves and use the media as a tool to cushion the
effects.

For how long do you think this program is going to run?
It is a life time project. This is just the beginning.

How do you intend to run it throughout the country?
We are going to the Six Geopolitical Zones. We are going to
18 states; Kaduna, Kano, Gombe, Bauchi, Delta, Edo, Osun, Oyo, Lagos, Imo,
Enugu, etc.

At the end of it, you are sure it is going to impact

No. Everyone. Everyone that is a Nigerian

What is your advice to those that are not patriotic to our
country?

They have no choice. We have only one country. You can
choose your school, you can choose the car you buy, you can choose whatever you
want but you cannot choose the country you come from because at that time you
were not able to make decision for yourself.
